TIRKIZ

About

Tirkiz reformats the publicly available sea-quality data published by IZOR (the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries) for every monitored beach on the Croatian Adriatic.

Methodology

All measurements are categorised under EU Directive 2006/7/EC in four quality classes: excellent, good, sufficient and poor. The principal indicators are the intestinal bacteria Escherichia coli and intestinal enterococci. Sampling runs from 15 May to 30 September, typically in two-week cycles.

Data source and freshness

Data is fetched from IZOR once a day. The timestamp of the last successful fetch is shown on every beach page.

Privacy

Tirkiz requires no registration; your saved beaches and preferences stay solely in your browser and never leave your device. On beach pages we show ads (Google AdSense), which may use cookies — details, third parties and consent options are described in the privacy notice.
